Perfect upgrade on Verizon xv6700...

This might be a helpful hint:

One thing to note: prior to running the upgrade, I gave the device a hard reset (Hash Buttons+Soft Reset) and interrupted the the customization.

Then, I set it to boot loader and loaded the upgrade.

It worked flawlessly, and it took less then 7 minutes (as opposed to the 20 minutes the application suggests). Could it be that hard reseting, and stopping the update before loading the upgrade increases the speed and reliability?

I inherited my xv6700 from a family member who threw it in a desk draw 2 weeks after buying it (because of the performance issues).

When I lost my handset this week, he offered this to me as a replacement. This upgrade has increased the responsiveness and usability of the device 10 fold! He's starting to look a little jelous for giving it up!
