I use TomTom5 and the internal GPS in my XV6700
I dial 922 and use Fieldtrial (comes with windows mobile 5) to get a Lat and Lon.
Then use GPS2Blue (free download) to creat a POI.
Then I open TomTom5 and I am on the map.
I wish I was a c programer. I would write a program that read the gps data from the RTR chip (the way fieldtrial does) then creat a NMEA GGA sentence and output it to a com-port. I would still have dial 922 to get an updated fix.
