Simotanious data and voice are only possible on HSPA/UMTS networks, which use the WCDMA protocol. on EDGE and GPRS networks, only one connection at a time is possible, (voice or data). My point is, that ATT is for once ahead of the curve, instead of desperately trying to jump into a moving vehicle.
