First tap the littl speaker in the top bar of the screen it's on the left of the date. Two volume sliders will show up, one is for system sounds, music etc., and the other is only for the ringer, slide that to the top.
If that isn't enough try goung into settings and changing the ringer to a different sound.
If that still isn't enough search ppcgeeks for audiopara - essentially there is a file you can change to give you louder sounds!
