To be fair...I think if we've learned anything from this thread and all the others, "better" really depends on who is using the device and what they need it for. I think the TP is better for me, and I think the iPhone is better for most of my family members.

I was intrigued at the 1700+ contacts component of the OP...I seem to recall another person who posted awhile back having issues with a very large number of contacts. For a business user I can completely understand having that many contacts (particularly in sales), but as I'm nowhere near that can only wonder if there are inefficiencies in the WM contacts code that cause problems when you get to huge numbers of people. I suspect the average number of contacts people have is quite a bit lower than 1000.

And I thought sprint nav did work from contacts, but maybe I was wrong. I never use it that way but again if you're in sales and you need to get to a rep's office in a new city, that would be a nice feature.

Anyway, WM has a long way to go in software and hardware before I'll start recommending it to people I know. But whenever I see someone with a WM smartphone, I get a little nod of appreciation and sometimes get to talk about how they've customized it, which is sort of cool. Reminds me of how Alfa owners often wave to each other on the road.
