Also if you read the first post, NRG states that he has set this rom up the way he likes it because he uses it on his phone, he shares the work because he wants to not because he is obligated to....

What pisses me off is when carriers do the same thing, because technically you dont have a choice but to leave it or void your warranty, Your not being forced into anything, by anyone because there is a link to his twitter....

what i hate is when the "consumers" try to castrate the "authors" because something is there they do not like. you are not locked into anything with NRG, and if you feel you are there are many other roms that you can flash and see how you like, I personally think EnergyROM is the best out right now.
First off, the “link” I speak of is a Twitter widget that the author preinstalled to keep others (i.e. you and I) updated on new release of his/her work. It would seem silly that author would add this feature for himself since he’s the author and would already be aware of these changes; don’t you think??? Second, being a widget instead of a simple twitter link, it appears that I have to manually delete the widget using a registry editor and/or file manager in order to remove it from the phone.

I’m not chastising the author for putting the widget in the build. I was merely asking how to remove it in the event that there was a simple solution that I had missed. Realizing that the release was just too “customized” for the author’s phone, I decided to switch.
