When you increase the mic volume you're also going to increase the background ambient noise (or over modulate your voice). Attached, I'm going to include my AudioPara3.csv (it's zipped, you will have to unzip).

I've found this version (which is subsequently the 'stock' Alltel ROM AudioPara3.csv) to be the best. Alternatively, It has many of the microphone and volume level tweaks already in it. It also won't set the stock volume level to a a level that may/will cause permanent ear damage.
