I actually have not noticed any battery drain issues. I am using midNIGHT 4.0 with the Cellular South 1.12.31f radio. Seems to be a good combo for battery life.
The new slider i'm not quite sold on it, but i'm a creature of habit and i don't like change. So i will spend a few more days with it before i make a final decision.
