Not sure about #1, but the answer to #2 depends on which ROM you are using. If you are using the ROM that came with the phone, then you will need to do a registry hack. You can find the keys to change at
http://www.howardforums.com/showpost...&postcount=229, but will need a registry editor to do so (let us know if you need a registry editor to do that). If, however, you have upgraded to one of the custom ROMs (at least, Adrynalyn's), then there is a program called Advanced Config that allows you to do this. Let us know what you currently have on your phone and we can give you more information.
