[Gooka Mooka]

I back-up all my contacts with sprite back-up and then I flash to a new rom. When I restore the contacts, some of the contacts show up as their phone number instead of their name when they send me text messages. When I click on the number it says that I don't have a contact by that phone number.

When I figure out who the number belongs to I then just update the contact just because it makes the most sense to me. When I go back and look at the text messages their number is still displayed instead of their name.

Is there a way to get the name to show instead of the phone number in the list of text messages? Is there anything I can do to help prevent this tedious problem in the future?
