I have been playing around with my favorite Manila file, 27c65cbd, and I came up with something I felt was worth sharing. Basically, I wanted to eliminate the bulky globe graphic and replace the redundant 'favorites/push pages' with actual links to other internet applications since we have 'All Bookmarks' right there anyways. The result looks like this:
(Opera-as-Link Style pictured above)
The search field and 'Launch Browser' link are both functional, as of course are the links added below. I have zipped up a few different 'flavors' of this Manila file for anyone who might not want to do manual edits themselves. I have also created a set after getting some feedback which shows a Mid-Sized Opera icon and 'Launch Opera' instead of 'Launch Browser' rather than the (redundant) link to Opera below. There will be no padding above the Opera icon unless I point to a different icon (with padding) than the nice cooked-in one:

The fewer items/icons, the faster the tab loads, and that is why 'Basic' has only 4 items (doesn't apply to 'fast' or 'naked' packages). If anyone is just itching for a custom version of this and is not comfortable editing the file themselves, let me know I could probably make up a few more. If anyone finds any bad links in any of these definitely let me know -- I am pretty sure I got them all where they should be. Enjoy!

Packages
Naked: No Icons Here. A black box will exist where icons would be. Looks ok. FAST.
Opera Only: Like the original tab, but with a medium sized (and labeled) Opera icon. FAST.
Standard Fast: Most will want this package. Includes lightweight icon set. Looks good. FAST.
Standard Original: This version calls on the cooked-in icons. Pretty, but SLOW.
Both 'Standard' packages contains all three versions (Basic, Loaded, Loaded+) in both styles (Big Opera, Opera-as-Link), as well as versions of each with favorites enabled below the operator links, and without. Naked contains all three versions with favorites enabled and without. Enough variations, I hope, save a few custom request. *grin*

Instructions: Unzip the version of the Manila file you choose to \WINDOWS\ and overwrite existing file if asked. If you are using the 'fast' package, make sure you also unzip the included icons to \WINDOWS\ so that it will function correctly. If you are using the 'naked' package, make sure you also unzip the included bdot.png to \WINDOWS\ otherwise you will see rather ugly white boxes where icons should be.
***These Manila files all point to shortcuts and icons that exist on the Mercury and Aurora builds of EnergyROM 'Standard' or 'Standard RD' at the time they were compiled -- they will likely be problematic on other ROMs, including the 'Old Manila' EnergyROM, which they were NOT designed for, so use at your own discretion.
