There is only one answer to this mess.
CAPITALISM.
Companies like ATT, Apple, Microsoft, Verison, etc dont care about what the customers want but rather care about how they can fill their pockets by controlling what their customers can have access to.
These people dont realize that the future of internet technology is in the open platform/source community.
Either way i guess they will know the true power of open platform/source when the average people start realizing it.
on that note i m anxious about the free
Google OS that is going to be released in 2010.
