Goodbye dear touch pro...

I have had the ATT Touch pro for about 8 months now. I loved the phone since day one. My DPAD started to go funky so I went to device repair center and they exchanged it... for one with a broken screen which would flicker vigorously at the bottom, so i exchanged it again... and again.. and again. All 4 of the TP's I was given had broken screen going from the flickering problem (3 had that) to where the screen actually started to come off the device.

At this point, I called warranty through phone rather than going into the repair center, and told the representative that the screen started to peel from the case and I was made aware that I have voided my warranty since I have told him the screen is coming off. There was no way in hell that i broke it myself!

The next day I went to the device repair center again and by this time I already knew the staff there and they said "AGAIN?" and i said "yep". I was told that I can phone in to ATT and request that they send me a different make and model, which I did at the repair center, and the staff had to confirm that there was no physical damage to the phone. If I may add, the phone didnt even have a scratch on it..

anyway, I was offered the samsung epix, or the blackberry bold. I took the blackberry bold.

I miss my touch pro a lot, but there are some things I am happy i got away from. The GPS on the bold gets a lock within 10 seconds. The battery life is twice.. if not three times that of the touch pro. There is no tweaking that needs to be done. Oh and after I installed some apps on the blackberry, I thought i'd update the OS. To my surprise, none of my data was wiped! My apps were still there, my contacts, themes, settings, EVERYTHING was there.

HOpefully the touch pro 2 will be a better device for me than the original.
