I'm jumping on the i760 bandwagon; just placed my order. I've had a Treo 650 for a few months, then changed to the 6700 for about a year and a half now. My contract was up and I was waiting for the 6800, but it never came.
When verizonguy jumped ship, I took a closer look at the 760 and it looks like a solid alternative. Our local Verizon store doesn't have any smartphones other than the Treo and Blackberries on the floor. I asked the rep about the i760, she never heard of it, of course. She also doesn't know the release dates of any phones coming out. They're always so helpful.
Anyway, I look forward to playing with a phone that hopefully won't require rebooting 3 times a day.
