I cannot Sync or Delete files from my PPC, “Synchronization cannot be completed successfully”

My PPC-6800 just started having issues this week. When I connect my PPC to my computer I receive the following error message:

“Synchronization cannot be completed successfully. Reconnect your device and try again. If the problem persists, see the Microsoft ActiveSync Troubleshooter in Microsoft ActiveSync Help on your desktop computer.”

I have run the Troubleshooter for ActiveSync and it finds no errors.

I have deleted the mobile device from ActiveSync, did not fix the issue.

I have removed ActiveSync from the computer and reinstalled, did not fix the issue.

I have removed the PPC device from my device manager and reinstalled, did not fix the issue.

On my PPC I try to see the installed applications, so I can remove the last few I installed, but the display is blank. That is to say the window will open, but no applications are in the lists.

I have tried to just delete some files from the PPC using the explorer, I receive a message telling me “Cannot remove ___: Access is denied. Be certain that the folder is not write-protected and is not currently in use.” I have even taken a photo and then tried to delete the photo from the internal and storage card and I receive the same message.

Does anyone have any ideas on what I can do to fix this issue?

Until I get the device to sync I cannot update my ROM.
