As far as I know, *67 does not actually strip caller ID data out, it only sends a code which directs the receiving system to not display the data. Some systems ignore this code, but I don't know of any cell phones that do.

You have the option of initiating a malicious call trace with Sprint for $20, which buys you the ability to have them release malicious/unavailable ID call trace records directly to you.
