Thanks! No, not lying about it, I've pulled cabs for a few programs that way back in the day, though as I mentioned developers are better about creating cabs nowadays, particularly when you can install and configure on a smartphone pretty easily. I haven't had to pull that trick in a long time. But I'm more anal than your gf about what gets installed on my mega-stable XP computer, so I'm not about to let some two-bit WM developer force me to install something on the PC when it only needs to run on my TP. So I use my backup laptop as the whipping boy, grab the files and run.
I think you're going to miss having a PC. I even use the Redfly (great battery life, bright screen, etc.) but I can't stand the weak graphics and processor on the TP after awhile. I think in a few months you'll have a netbook or something (if you even make it that long).
