I agree with MannyPR, I also would always suggest using cabs if you can. I keep a directory on my 2GB SD card just for all the cabs i use, as I play around with ROMS all the time and that way I don't have to search and re-copy all my cabs back to my phone. You just navigate to the folder with File Explorer and run them one by one (clicking cancel when it asks you to soft reset your phone until you have them all installed just to save time.

I'll be adding the method to recover from a soft reset on the first post also.. another important piece of bit anyone using Hard-SPL and installing custom or modded ROMS should know.
