For what it's worth, there's a poster on Engadget, named "Verizon Tester", who claims he works in the Verizon testing lab. He states that they've had "A LOT" of problems with the software on the TP2 and that it could be pushed out to Q1 of next year. If you click on his screen name, his prior posts seem credible.

I can't imagine how that's possible given the fact that now the ROMs for the Sprint and Verizon versions have reached "shipped" status.
