Anyway I called Sprint to switch my service to the 6700 and they did the ESN switch, then we went to program it and NONE of the ## commands work. It just sits there on the dial screen like a normal phone entry.
So I went to the storage card to flash back to the original ROM and I see 'Mobile 6 ROM' and 'Stock ROM from HTC' there. If I click on either one of them I get an error message saying "[insert ROM name here] is not a valid Pocket PC application". So I can't do anything. I hope I don't have to factory reset this thing. Anyone heard of this?
And again, I am trying to search, I can't make it work.

Okay. Starting easy here. You'll need to fet the ROMS off the card and into your PC first. They won't flash from the card, but have to come thru the upgrade utility/USB port. Once done with the transfer of the files to a PC, then hard reset. If you got WM6 on there it's a little red icon in programs called clear storage, otr just hold down the two - softkeys and poke the reset. It will ask yes or no. Choose yes. Wait, go thru the setup and try putting in ##(the msid the Sprint tech gave ya)# on the phonepad. You should get the program screen with the 3 green dots. If that doesn't work, go to the FTP or the UTStarcomm site and download the stock Sprint ROM and flash it to the handset. Then call Sprint to get it activated. While you're getting it activated, take notes on the codes. They'll come in handy later. Once you have it working on your line we can set to hacking. Good luck.
