I've never heard of anyone having to use different alltel arcsoft cabs for different roms.
I've flashed every custom touchpro rom on this site (except for Tech1's of course) and always use the same alltel arcsoft cab and it works perfect. And if the rom already has arcsoft cooked in, then i just change the server settings to alltel's, and it works perfect.

I think your problem, littleevil, is that you are not setting the server settings properly. Even after i install the alltel arcsoft cab, i still have to change the port # or the connect via for it to work. I never use the dcd carrier cab either.
