Depends on the rom which arcsoft to use. I have 5 different arcsoft cabs depending on the roms i use.
Groove rom and demolition are the only ones that i dont have to install arcosft since its cooked into the rom
I ve found running up to latest version may not always be the best if you let me know the rom ill get ya a arcsoft cab to match.

btw the dcd cab makes a difference and can crash your internet on a rom where agprs xda ---- .cab software is installed check sys>settings>remove programs for agprs program if so remove it.
Edit: Also make sure your radio is updated and that you have an updated dcd cab also etc on the updated.... Some times the little things like radio, dcd, pri, prl, mms version make a difference. On a side note beware of spcs roms on alltel some of them have a arcsoft cab with internals of a spcs pic mail which ive noticed cause weird mms problems like broken coding on received mms and receving but not sending etc... |
I'm now running a SSK WM6.1 ROM. One thing that I forgot about before was that when I first flashed, I discovered that it had a Verizon arcsoft already cooked into it. When I installed the Alltel arcsoft and dcd, it seemed to erase all traces of it though.
I may back up my current ROM and try a stock one to see if that helps.
