From the post on XDA about it (emphasis added):

Manila TV PLayer is a tab to add in TF3D & TF3D2 but in this the landscape don't work properly.

Till they get it working in landscape, just like with the Tachi dialer. I hope versions of EnergyROM continue to be released without it.
I've got
SPB TV,
Web TV and Sprint TV. All of them work in landscape. I don't want something in the ROM that can't do landscape yet. When they're already plenty of things that play TV and do work in landscape mode.
Manila TV Player has much potential, but without a landscape mode, I don't want to have to bother with it taking up space on my device. Just my opinion.
