Sync issues!!!

I recently had to do a system recovery on my PC, and obviously I had to redo ActiveSync....now before recovery, and initially after, sync was fine. A couple days after recovery service pack 2 automatically loaded, along with the firewall, and PC protection. Since then, I can't sync at all....AS opens, and says it is connecting (with the wheel spinning and everything) but it just sits there. What I found out, is that when I disable the firewall I can sync fine. According to the firewall configuration, ActiveSync is supposed to be an exception to the firewall block.

Anybody know a fix, or a better way of dealing with it other than disabling/re-enabling the firewall every time I sync???

Thanks for ANY info!!!
