The extended rom format is 12-bit transaction safe fat, while other devices use 16-bit tfat - it's hard to say why htc chose to use 12-bit tfat with the mogul. I've had some luck reading the extended rom nb file, but modifying it is a different story. I would rather just do away with the extended rom all together and just turn it into storage.
