in all my experiences with them over the years, that has exactly been the case. after the third problem phone, i would call asurion, explain the situation, ask for a supervisor, and after a bit of talking, i would be sent a brand new phone. it happened with an Apache (which i had forgotten about), then a Vogue, then a Mogul and then a Touch Pro. The third seem to be the cut off.
Also. To kabuk1, i'm sorry for blasting you. it wasn't a kind thing to do and was without merit. the situation with Asurion and the insurance has been a problem with me for years and when i saw your posting, i went balistic instead of really asking you why you had those thoughts. i tyically type faster than i can think and it gets me in trouble.
And for the other dude that called me a hypocrite. I wasn't clear on the problems i was having with each phone. i kept getting phones that had blemishes on the screens and from my experience, that can never be good when you start off with that. so i would call up Asurion, tell them the situation with the screens, and then they would send another.
ok. now that i have done the two things i wanted to do (apologize to kabuk1 and give more info about my returns) i hope that i'm able to contribute to this thread and be helpful.
