You all need to relax. It has been said many, MANY times that there was never an official announcement.
Just a Sprint employee on the buzzaboutwireless forums, if you check that post you can also see how the poster said the new ROM
should be posted by 10/22... that is never a good sign.
So how about we all relax a little...
