When you say "panels", do you mean cards? Those are the applications that show up when you press the button and they all appear on screen, you can flick through them left and right, then flick up to close an app. (Looks VERY slick btw)

I think there is actually some app for winmo that lets you see screenshots of all running programs but it's not like card view.
