Hello, and welcome to PPCGeeks! I think what you are talking about is a new ROM however, I don't think that will fix your problem. From personal experience, the vibration in the Apache is one of the first things to go out. I personally used to go through one every 4-6 months because of this verry thing (I have to keep my phone on vibrate for 12 hours a day because of work) until I got my Mogul. However, you still might want to try your hand at reflashing your phone, I recommend Helmi's WM6. I ran it for a while and it worked the best for me.
