The cooked 6.5 roms saved what - 50mb?

Haven't tried the gps or wifi yet - that's next.
there's storage memory, and then there is program memory.
storage is just that, a place to store programs and such, program memory is like ram on your desktop, or like a pagefile in xp. it's where your programs go for resources to operate. when i put the cf03 on my omnia i had like 33mb of program memory free, after flashing cf03 1.0 base i had 59 mb free. so by getting rid of all the crap i don't use, i doubled the ability to multi task on my device.

i remember the 286 days when we were paying $80 for a crummy 64mb stick of ram (used). that is why i covet my program ram, and that's why the dynamic pagepool the chefs put together is so cool to me.

when i was beta testing one of the first pagepool roms, i was dang near able to crash the phone (got it down to less than 4 mb), now if i throw everything i use at it, i might be able to get it down to around 10 mb.

all the chefs here have vastly improved the abilities of our phone, and there is nothing that quite warms my heart than racing an iphone to the net and winning almost all the time.

check out spb mobile shell 3 for your interface on a base rom, it is the niftiest ui i have used. i liked it so much i paid for it!!!
