You might want to check out the
Touch InCall Screen Tweak -- it has lots of useful features, including the option, 'Always On'.
Actually, it's default purpose is to turn the screen off when the phone is vertical (to your ear) and back on when it is horizontal (in your hand), but I suspect the Always On option will take care of what you want...hope it does...
