With my HTC Titan, I could get 6-7 satellites within seconds just sitting here at my desk, so suffice to say, I'm not terribly impressed with this.

One thing that always helped with my HTC was using QuickGPS, but that won't even run on the Omnia (gives me a "may not be signed with a valid certificate" or some such... same problem I had with it on my HTC before I got the latest dcd ROM). I've tried removing and reinstalling several times, including the "patched" version.

Anyone have any other ideas? Some way to get QuickGPS running? I've even downloaded and dropped in a packedEphemeris.ee file without much help.
That's odd. I just switched from a P4000 (Telus Titan) and Google Maps hits 8 satellites indoors, although by a window. I did notice that if I launch Live Search Maps first, it takes forever to lock.

Thanks to HTC I had almost given up on Windows Mobile. The Samsung Omnia i910 changed my mind.
