Enable hidden option of "Mode of Operation"
HKLM\SOFTWARE\OEM\PhoneSetting

Change the option HiddenPreferenceMode from 1 to 0
Change the option HiddenModeOperationPage from 1 to 0 <--Touch Pro

Then go to Phone/menu/option/service/and check in the list, "Mode of Operation" should be at the bottom. You have 3 choices, Hybrid, EVDO, and 1X.
Once you have checked the box and hit ok. You can switch back and forth without having to soft reset.
Oh. Interesting. No I hadn't included it, because I'd not heard of it. I'll consider it for a future release (whenever the next firmware update is finally released).
