But to me the biggest downside to the iphone is the COST. The prices that ATT charges (and indirectly Apple) is exhorbent. It's crazy how much you end up spending on an iphone plan over 2 years.

And that is where Apple excels....they are able to get customers to part with all that $$ and give it to at&t of which I assume Apple gets a nice cut
