You can have excel, and you can play music in the background. Its the only multi tasking it can do. You can teather, just dont get caught by att. Att coverage certainly is not the best. $600??? I think my plan only cost 30 over my other contract that had my winmo without data. Im not sure what garmin xt is so i cant help you with that one
