HTC Model Number Description

Okay I came across something today, and it might help a lot of people and everything else.

First off HTC has a lot of different devices and to help with this they assign each carrier a certain range on the part number. and from that part number they assign ROM updates. That is easy to get. but what is the other way they track devices?

Its by certain codes. This helps them track certain Models, and each Carrier will be assigned a new model based on what they want. If Alltel wants there Logo then it has to be a new model, and so the list gets to be quite large.

Now this is how you will get the information for your device

1. Go to this site

2. And in the IMEI field enter either your HEX ESN, MEID or IMEI code. (These are all located under the battery)

3. Once you enter that information into there press Query

4. Then copy your info from results and post the info here*

Once we can get a big enough database built up we will get a good idea about each carrier code. It will also help in getting some Shipped ROMS. if you know the right people.

*Please make sure to Delete IMEI when you paste that info into here. Dont want anyone to clone your device.
