Just for what it's worth (though I see the OP has moved on to a different phone)...

I saw the reference to acbPowerMeter above and I can say that it works great on the Mogul (I have an Alltel 6800 - same phone). You can get it at http://www.acbpocketsoft.com/Product...verview-2.html.

To do a good test, make sure that the backlight is set to turn off after 10 seconds and that the power is not set to turn off (so the phone stays on but the backlight goes off... hope I explained that right). Then, run acbPowerMeter and let the phone sit for an hour.

My 6800 averages a draw of about 50mA per hour (it idles at about 30mA, but I have it checking a couple of IMAP mail accounts every 15 minutes and updating WeatherPanel once an hour) which works out to about 30 hours on a charge if I'm not doing anything with it. Not too bad... way better than my 6700 ever was. And that;s with the hack to keep EvDO always connected.

So, if anyone else is still having battery problems, I'd run the test I described. If you are drawing a lot more power at idle, then something is running on your phone which is eating your battery. I'd also suggest DotFred's Task Manager (http://www.pocketpcfreeware.com/en/index.php?soft=1612) to see what all the running processes are.
