Wouldn't that now turn on our phone into a 'verizon phone?' -- as long as they'll take/activate an Alltel ESN/MEID, this doesn't seem like it'd be an issue.
I guess I'll have my own tests to conduct once I get switched over to Verizon. Seemingly, this all happens next week for me.

They won't take the ESN/MEID,
that's the problem.
If you can't get them to put it in their database, then you either clone a phone or you're screwed.

Thats what I mentioned a while back,
but I got called out for being a VIP thinking I was "above" everyone else and that I thought I should get "special" treatment.
Anyone care to call out mrobvious or am I just receiving special treatment by all you out there? haha.
But I'm up for a class action lawsuit.
