Initial thoughts:
1. The X and the battery meter seem to be... not right. The meter seems cut off, and the glow when the X is pressed is like... to the side...
2. WEIRDEST RINGTONE EVER... lol
3. *Still having the SMS exit hang issue... Stock cabs except ATContacts, Sprite Backup and MusicID... It might be ATContacts? or maybe its not a cab.

Try forcing roaming for a minute Phone>Menu>Options>Services Tab>Roaming>Get Settings
should be in 1x territory which is used for text and voice. See if that speeds up the lag delay. I get it sometimes while it switches from EVDO to 1X.
