That is correct, it deletes everything as in a format and install of the OS

Does anyone wanna try what? there are many custom ROMs already made but again, if the phone has to be in BL mode to install the ROM and once it is in BL you cannot access the storage card, how do you propose to get to the .cab (or whatever executable file) to install the ROM?

I would assume this one is in the Windows directory, EXT ROM and registry.
