aw dont give up !
try this to change out of storage mode:
- push house button (beside Dpad)
- push top left corner of screen (where START menu should be)
- push "s" on keyboard (should select Settings)
- push "tab"
- push right arrow key TWICE
- push tab
- push "u" on keyboard
- push enter
NOW.. this part is tricky, because you cant tell which option is selected:

since you are in disk mode, lets pretend disk mode is selected by the cursor:
- push up arrow key
- push enter
hopefully works..
if not you may have to push up arrow key different amount of times before pushing enter lol.
and also may not work depending on your rom..
