Re: Touch Pro Keyboard Not Working...

I've flashed the stock rom and relocked it--done a couple of hard resets--no dice.

Normally I would just take it into the Alltel store and get it replaced, but--when I was installing a Zagg Invisible Shield, I goofed and set the phone down sans back cover into a drop of water. About 1/4 of the water indicator sticker is pink, the rest is white with red cross-hatch. The lady at the Alltel store said I was basically out of luck and instructed me to contact HTC and let them decide if they'll cover it under warranty (which she didn't think they would).

If HTC decides they won't repair it under warranty, does anyone have some advice on what routes I can take? Using the on-screen keyboard for typing out text message is a joke...
open the phone yourself and repair it?
otherwise I would take the water sticker off and go to another alltel store and not even tell them about the water.
tell them you need a new NIB replacement, New in box replacement, for you htc touch pro. It says so in the manufacturing warranty that you get a NIB replacement. The keyboard stopped working, it's a known problem.
If they call their tech department or HTC they will be told the same thing.

worked for me and they didnt even looking at the phone or look at my account before saying okay that they can replace it.

my luck with electronics is pretty bad, so im too afraid to just take it apart and reconnect / tape down the keyboard connectors..

I don't wanna void the warranty.
that's why I don't bother with doing that.
