My 8GB memory is no longer showing up in my memory settings?? dont know why this would have happened by doing a *228, but it did. So i called Verizon back and they said that my phone somehow got flashed to an older firmware when i did the *228 and that i needed to take the phone in for service. I told them they needed to send me another one because i did not have time to go out of my way to get to a store and have them look at my phone. The tech said they couldnt send me a phone unless i went to them and had them flash the firmware. This is my 4th Omnia in as many months, i am wondering if anyone else has had this issue? I have not flashed this phone yet, it is still stock from verizon, so i am not worried about them finding anything. I just think it is BS that there system screwed me up and now i have to take time out of my life to get to a VZW store and get my phone fixed. Is there something else i can try before i do this??
Maybe the original issues you where experiencing where related to some internal issue and the *228 was just a coincidence. I mean right before you did *228, did you go check your available memory and say "ok, theres my 8gb" or is it possible it was missing for a short time before the OTA programing. Just thinking out loud here, but anything you did before this that could have caused problems? Reg edit, install programs, etc?...
