bbsandkm cooked me a custom and stated that it was carrier free, and I needed to download a carrier .cab for Alltel.
the carrier cab enables the internet connection on your phone by installing the required settings. the .cab is for data connections, meaning MMS (if you have it), internet, anything data related etc.
