Without a signal, or if your aGPS is turned off via either of the methods in the second post, it will take a VERY long time to get sat locks, but it's not impossible. I was on VZW earlier this year and had the 6800. Before the aGPS fix came out on XDA, I was used to waiting from 5-20 minutes for GPS locks.

That maybe true considering I got cell service 25 miles up and I mean UP the road and that is in the mountains in the Continental Divide .
