This program allows you to change screen resolution. WVGA<>VGA & WQVGA<>QVGA.

This program allow you to change screen resolution. WVGA<->VGA and WQVGA<->QVGA.

Program designed mostly for devices with wide screens - 800x480 or 400x240 (Toshiba G900, SE Xperia X1, HTC Touch HD, HTC MAX 4G).

So if game or program don't work in wide mode you can try it in normal VGA/QVGA mode. Probably it will work.

Installation:

- Copy CAB files to device.
- Install SdkCerts.cab first.
- Install second cab file.
- Do soft reset.
- Now you can see WVGAFIX3 in Programs.

Features:

- WVGA VGA SQVGA switch support.
- WQVGA QVGA SQQVGA switch support.
- You have black unused screen area on screen - no stretching performed.

Supported devices:

- Most devices with WM50, WM60, WM61 and WM65.

Limitations:

- You shouldn't rotate screen if not-original video mode applied.
- If you want use WVGAFIX3 in landscape mode, you should rotate screen in the right side, otherwise you will have touchscreen decalibration.
- You should determine "good" side by experimental way.

Was wondering if the tomtom lagg was due to the bigger screen and resolution of the tp2, will this help with the performance lagg?

Re: This program allows you to change screen resolution. WVGA<>VGA & WQVGA<>QVGA.

I'm thinking the answer to this question is going to be no, but I'm gonna ask anyway...

Can this be used to run an app designed for VGA on a QVGA phone? If not (which i'm sure is the case) do you know of anything that can do that?

Here's what I'm trying to accomplish...

Golflogix has released their software for WM finally but it was designed for the Touch Pro (VGA), I have a Touch (QVGA) so I can't use it

Been trying to find a way or find someone who could hack the app to work on a QVGA phone with no luck

Thanks

Have yu tried it? I think that is the point of this app. I think the only other problem would be if the progam you are trying to use checks device to see if it's compatible and if not it won't even run. I think it shoudl work for you.

Wait, i'm not sure I understand. It sounds like this allows you to run a QVGA app, but without stretching it to fit the screen. I don't get the point, I can already do that with tons of QVGA apps on my VGA device. That's my problem, not a solution. Or am I missing something?

yes, you are missing something.
there are a lot of apps that are not WVGA or WQVGA compatible.
this tool allows you to set your device resolution to VGA or QVGA, so that these apps work.

this is only important for widescreen devices.

Ah ok. What I'd really like is a program that let me run QVGA apps on a VGA screen. There are tons of cool QVGA only apps, like Puzzle Quest.
