Anyone switch calls by accident with their cheek when talking?

This is my first Android phone and I love it so far but I keep getting an annoying issue.

Several times already I have accidentally switched to another line or hung up with my cheek.

Any option to fix this? Hung up on some important phone calls today.

Hmm. Is your phone not sensing your cheek? Usually the screen should shut off while it's against your face. I know there's an option somewhere.

The Ambient Light sensor?

It should be set by default to shut the screen off when in a call and pressed against your face (or when the light sensor is covered...)

I do not think there is a way to shut off the proximity sensor. Make a phone call and put your thumb in front of those 3 clear circles right to the left of the speakers and see if your screen shuts off.
If not then you need a new phone.

The sensor works and turns off the screen when close to the face. However when i press it to my cheek with my shoulder, the screen lights up. Maybe cuz I am touching the screen.

YouTube - Hands Free Phone! The No-K.I.A. Phone

or

cheaper alternative would be applying a rubber-band that stretch around your head with the phone...? Go Staples... that was easy lol
