Has VERIZON>>>><<<<<ALLTEL Tower/Network Merge Happened Yet?

i remember people on this thread saying something about being able to call verizon and activate a Hybrid PRL mode to be able to use alltel towers to make calls. is that right?

And if that right, when will verizon users be able to use alltel towers without the hybrid mode?

or is this something that has no ETA?

did a google search, but most posts were 6 months or older.

There are hybrid PRL's out as of now. They are only in certain markets as of right now.

As you may know *228 will update your PRL but this is only for Verizon towers. You can call Verizon and talk to technical and request a hybrid PRL. This isn't automatic and may take a few days for some technical guy to push the hybrid PRL to your phone.

What is unfortunate is every time you do a hard reset you have to go through the daunting task of requesting the hybrid PRL.

I know there are multiple options when you dial *228 but as far as I know none of those are a hybrid PRL.

Well there is this http://www.antennasearch.com/ but it isn't as user friendly.

Often a provider will put their antenna on someone elses tower and lease that space so you have to search antennas.

i guess because i have one on the verizon network????

i see post after post about a Hard SPL coming out and i get crap for posting a relevent question about my TP2???
