Re: Verizon GPS In Google Maps?
Yes to both QuickGPS and the "use GPS" option, but the other thing I noticed on mine is that the first time you use it (I also have a VZW Pro2) after doing those two things, it helps to be outside and moving- I couldn't get anything at all on mine, and then once I got outside in a car with a sunroof, I was off to the races and haven't had problems anywhere.

Re: Verizon GPS In Google Maps?
+1 to what they said, that should work. If it doesnt then try downloading a differrent version of GoogleMaps, I have noticed that some version are better than others.

Re: Verizon GPS In Google Maps?
I have a stock Verizon TP2 that I got last Friday, and I am unable to get the GPS to work at all with Google Maps. I set Google Maps to COM4 Baud 4800, enabled Location in the phone settings, set the GPS to COM4 Baud 4800 in the WM settings. Anyone got any suggestions or had the same problem? I saw a mix of people getting the GPS to work and others not.

Re: Verizon GPS In Google Maps?
I haven't been able to get any closer than 800 meters. Seems like I've tried everything. Pretty frustrating. I'm using Psyki also used nrg, same thing then.

Re: Verizon GPS In Google Maps?
Go to the Quick GPS in the programs menu and run the program. I had to run it twice before it worked properly this turned on the GPS and set it up properly. i could not get a Sat lock prior to doing so, it afterwards it finds 8 to 10 birds in seconds and even works inside.
(the 800 meter /1800 meter type of info is a tower triangulation) hope this helps |
