Transfering Contacts

Hi, I ma new here so please bare with me. First off i would like to thank Helmi for the OS WM6 Pro, I installed it on my 5th 6700, but now on the Verizon model lol. Anyways I read a few posts and saved the pim.vol file on the 1gig ext. memory and on the desktop PC. I copied it from the ext. memory and pasted it to the the main and it asked if ok to overwrite the exisiting file, I chose yes. Well it's there but I still don't have any contacts listed? Please help in this matter. Thanks, JAS

You copied pim.vol from a WM5 ROM to a WM6 ROM? That's gotta be your problem right there. Sync up with your PC to get your contacts back. If your PC isn't synced, flash back to WM5, copy pim.vol back onto it, sync to PC, reflash to WM6 again and resync.

"Looks for the smoke to clear", WOW that was fast, lol. Ok, I will try to sync it again. I am using Vista Ultimate and it seems to have a hissy fit now and then. Question if I may?
Will my Alarm Clock program (Pocket Clock)that I had to pay for work on WM6 that was on WM5? Or is there a better one that is free. I need something loud as I am on medications that make me drowsy and a hard sleeper. Thanks, JAS
